Q Can I really save money opting for a DIY installation?
A Yes - for a typical 3m x 3m conservatory you could save around £5,000 and because you are spending less, the cost will actually reflect in the value of your home much quicker.

Q Can I personalize my conservatory?
A Of course: Self Build Conservatories Direct have a wide range of options to personalize your conservatory and to suit your tastes. Even if you have a unique design in mind, that may seem impossible to realise we may, with our highly qualified engineers and craftsmen, be able to provide you with a unique solution.
Q I haven't done much DIY; will I be able to fit one of your conservatories?
A Theoretically, the more DIY experience you have the better you will be at installation projects. However, even with a fairly basic level of DIY experience you should be able to follow our step-by-step instructions.
Q The specification of your product is far superior to many other suppliers, how can you afford to sell at these prices?
A Because we are an online service, Self Build Conservatories Direct do not have expensive overheads. These savings are reflected in our very competitive prices.
Q Can I order a specific size rather than a standard size?
A Yes - If you can't find the size you are looking phone or email us and we will quote for a be-spoke design.
Q Can I change the position of the door?
A During the ordering process you will be able to select the position for your door.
Q If any part is damaged or broken during installation can you supply replacements?
A We endeavour to supply any new parts within 24 hours (subject to availability). We will require payment at time of order.
Q How can I be sure of the quality of your products?
A We only use quality components in the construction of our conservatories. The brand name of Halo Rustic is a leading brand name and is synonymous with high quality installations in the window and conservatory industry, see our 'specifications' page for more details.
Q Can I add another door?
A Subject to the size and design of the conservatory, adding another door is possible. Please email the details of your requirements and we will provide a quotation.
Q What should I do about building my base?
A. You should ideally call in a skilled bricklayer to construct the base from our brickwork dimensions provided when you order the conservatory. If you have sufficient skills you could always attempt it yourself, but ideally we would recommend using a professional to do the job.
Q What do I get when I order the conservatory?
A On receipt of your order we will immediately draw up some base plans and send them to the address you provided with your order, in this way you can fully complete your preparation work ahead of the conservatory delivery. When your conservatory arrives you will get a full set of installation instructions along with all the frames, fittings, external cills, glass and roof. Each frame is individually made and they screw together to form each side of the conservatory. This gives you the freedom to choose where to place your opening vents and doors at the time of ordering.
Q If I break a sealed unit can you supply a replacement?
A Yes, if a unit is broken during installation we will be happy to supply a replacement. Please email your requirements and we will provide a price. Payment at time of order will be required.
Q Is the glass safety glass?
A Absolutely, All our conservatories feature toughened safety glass and each sealed unit is marked accordingly. Q What maintenance will be required?
A All our conservatories are designed to be maintenance free, however regular lubrication of locks and fittings will ensure trouble free operation. When cleaning use warm soapy water and try to avoid the use of abbrasive cleaners.
Q Can I order patterned glass for just one side of my conservatory?
A Yes - as you can see from our website there are a number of patterned and opaque options. To have patterned or opaque glass on specify sides phone or contact us and we will discuss this with you.
Q Will I require planning permission?
A Only your local planning office can confirm your situation. Generally there is no requirement for planning permission in England and Wales but you should confirm this with your local authority prior to commencing any work. The rules for Scotland are different and a building warrant will be required. The golden rule is, check with your local authority and ask them to confirm in writing.
Q Do you charge for delivery?
A Please see our 'deliveries page'.
Q Can I change my order once I have placed it?
A If you need to amend any details after your order has been placed please contact us straight away. Any changes you require will be dependant upon the stage of manufacture that your product has reached. If your order has not entered production we will be happy to accept your amendment free of charge.
Q Do you offer finance services?
A We do not offer finance facilities, other than payment by credit card.
